Remember when Drake released a new song called ‘Enough Said’ back in 2012 featuring previously unheard vocals by Aaliyah and it was amazing? Well, another track from the project has now appeared online.
Basically, the Canadian star started work on an album using the late singer’s vocal stems from sessions she had done shortly before her death in a plane crash in 2001.
‘Enough Said’ – produced by Noah ’40’ Shebib – was an introduction to a larger project, but it was ultimately scrapped after Aaliyah’s family refused to give their blessing.
But now, four years on, another track from the incomplete album has appeared and it’s also rather fantastic.
Titled ‘Talk Is Cheap’, it’s another production of chilled and haunting R&B that fits both Drake and Aaliyah’s vocals perfectly.
It does make you want the Drake and Aaliyah collaboration album even more, but it’s only right that Drake respected the wishes of her family by cancelling it.
Aaliyah’s family said that they were not involved in any release back in 2012, and have not given it their blessing.
