Trump Asks FBI To Investigate Death Threat From Twitter Account Of Escaped Mexican Drug Lord ‘El Chapo’

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is calling on the FBI to investigate an apparent death threat on the Twitter account said to belong to escaped Mexican drug lord Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman Loera.

The unverified account with the Twitter handle @ElChap0Guzman is purportedly run by Guzman’s son. 

A tweet written in Spanish with obscene language says Trump will swallow his words and includes a homosexual slur referring to anal sex.

Guzman escaped from a maximum security prison in Mexico Saturday through an elaborate underground tunnel from the prison’s shower area, complete with lighting and a rail system. It is the second time he has escaped from a Mexican prison. After his first escape in 2001, he was recaptured at a beachfront condo in Mazatlan in February of 2014.
